# Your first video

## 1. Create a video key [#1-create-a-video-key]

Sign into the [video console](https://video.1route.dev/) and open [API keys](https://video.1route.dev/keys/). Create a key with the **视频** group. Contact support if the group is unavailable. This credential is separate from your sign-in password.

## 2. Tell your AI about your tools [#2-tell-your-ai-about-your-tools]

Copy the instructions from [Connect with AI](/en/docs/ai/). Ask it to configure the key appropriately. It should first list available models without generating a video.

## 3. Pick a small test [#3-pick-a-small-test]

## 4. Confirm the price and submit once [#4-confirm-the-price-and-submit-once]

Check your account/group rate and currency at [live pricing](https://video.1route.dev/pricing/). Without a reference video, multiply the per-second rate by output duration.

A returned `task_...` means accepted, not finished.

## 5. Wait and save [#5-wait-and-save]

Poll every 15 seconds. Download the MP4 automatically when complete, then play the saved file. The site keeps the result for approximately 10 minutes after it becomes ready.

If the client exits, resume the same task. A creation timeout is not a reason to repeatedly press Generate. Keep the task ID, timestamp and error for [troubleshooting](/en/docs/faq/).
